On 20th December, Soulshine Band had the absolute pleasure of providing the live music for a stunning winter wedding at the beautiful Northbrook Park in Farnham, Surrey. From the first email exchange to the final encore, everything about this event screamed party, and the night itself delivered in every possible way.
The lovely couple were involved and excited from the start, carefully curating playlists, special moments and musical highlights – and when the big night finally arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Afterwards, their messages were full of thanks and appreciation for both the band and DJ, which always means the world to us. There’s nothing better than knowing we’ve helped create memories people will talk about for years to come.

Northbrook Park was the perfect backdrop. With its grand manor house, sweeping grounds and elegant interiors, it created a magical setting for a winter wedding celebration. Warm lighting, a buzzing room full of guests, and a lively, up-for-it crowd made it an absolute dream to perform.

Musically, the night was a proper celebration. We brought out a high-energy mix of funk, soul, Motown, disco and pop classics, blending iconic artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bruno Mars and Chic with modern floor-fillers and sing-along anthems. From smooth grooves early in the evening to full-blown party bangers later on, the dancefloor stayed packed with guests of every age.
Our live sets were followed by a DJ set that kept the momentum going, seamlessly mixing throwbacks, club classics and guilty pleasures. It was one of those nights where every track landed, and every song felt like “one more before we sit down”… which of course never actually happened.
